PRAYER connects you to GOD;
FASTING disconnects you from the WORLD! Here we go! We hope you begin this next 10 days with excitement and great expectations! There is no doubt that God intends to show up in your life in a powerful way as you step out in faith through intentional prayer and fasting. We anticipate healings and miracles, deliverance, freedom from bondage, breakthrough in every realm, deeper depth of spiritual growth and many testimonies of answered prayer! Don't expect an "easy" time! In fact, expect to wage war with your flesh as you deny it! Expect your Spirit man to rise up! Expect victories! Fight the good fight as you walk through these next few days. Keep on course! Don't neglect prayer and time in the Word. Fasting without prayer, is nothing more than a dietary restriction! When your flesh screams…. run to your prayer closet! We encourage you to use this blog to share thoughts, prayers, prayer requests, and scriptures. Share your personal struggles and victories! Let's encourage one another as the Body of Christ…. as a family! Also, be sure to share your successful recipes! (Click on the link to the right for past recipes… we will update it as more come available!) We are praying for YOU! Great things are in store! Expecting God! Pastor Dave & Tammy

So excited to see what God does in your lives!!! Praying and believing for powerful breakthroughs and deliverance.... For answered prayers... For hearts fully surrendered! Remember, as you walk though this time, God WILL challenge you in areas of your life, heart, will, flesh etc.... The enemy WILL offer you every excuse to not walk in obedience and rise to the challenge. The authority you have in Christ is YOURS! Walk mightily in it!

Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. - Hebrews 13:20-21 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews13:20-21&version=NIV

REMINDER: When you start feeling hungry, or craving something you are fasting from... let it be the "push" you need to stop right then and pray. Hunger for the Word, crave the presence of God. "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled! " Mt. 5:6

Don't forget pure soy and almond milk is acceptable. No dairy/animal products involved. Ezekiel cereal, and some of the Kashi brand is acceptable. Ragu has a Daniels fast friendly sauce as well, I tried the banana muffins recipe with mashed apples and berries and it was yum! Also tried tofu as a meat/protein substitute in spaghetti! Lots of options available! First three days are always the hardest on the body. Keep it up! Praying for you!

We had a great home made mexican dish last night. Took corn tortillas in 1/4 and made them chrisp in extra virgin olive oil and used them as a chip dipped them in mashed pino beans, home made salsa, corn and lettus. I'm picky on my Mexican food I usually eat the same thing (with extra sour cream) but this was really good last night I even added more beans to my plate. Then the left over "chips" I drizzled honey and cinnamon ( no sugar Lol). The day before we have been experimenting making our own salad dressings (I really love my ranch) but mike made two really good dressings. Its great to see what I like when I can't have what I usually stick to.

Prayer update: my grandfather is doing doing better. Please help me pray for my brother he is lost and confused when it comes to religion. God has put it on my heart this Daniel fast to pray for him and I have and from the response I have seen it has been working because he has been getting bitter towards Christianity but feels religiously oppressed. Thank you.
